Housed in the town's beautifully restored 1898 train depot, the Winkle Creek Historical Museum is where history comes to life—sometimes with surprising enthusiasm. Curator Chester Briggs can often be found rearranging his elaborate Civil War battle dioramas or explaining why the depot clock has been three minutes fast "for perfectly historical reasons." Be sure to admire the model railroad before asking Chester a question. You may arrive looking for an answer and leave with the entire history of western expansion.
